Madurai set out to bring authentic Indian flavours into the heart of Glasgow while offering guests more than just a meal — they wanted an elevated dining experience. The goal was to create a warm, vibrant setting that balances traditional hospitality with a fresh, modern design.

Our Approach
The design concept draws inspiration from India’s richness in colour, texture, and natural elements while reinterpreting them for a contemporary urban audience. We layered earthy tones with lush greenery and exposed stonework, giving the restaurant an inviting, organic feel.

Deep teal seating with warm orange accents provides a bold yet comfortable palette, echoing the vibrancy of Indian culture. Overhead, a series of pendant lights create an atmospheric glow, while feature walls integrate natural planting and textured finishes to soften the industrial shell.
