When we were invited to design the interiors for FAME Dentistry in Glasgow, the vision was clear: this was never intended to feel like a conventional dental practice.

Founded by Dr Ferhan Ahmed, FAME has been created around a patient-first approach to dentistry, combining exceptional clinical care with a more personal, considered experience. Our role was to translate that philosophy into the physical environment.

The aim was to create a practice that feels sophisticated and professional, yet warm, comfortable and reassuring - somewhere patients can immediately feel at ease.

Rather than drawing inspiration from traditional healthcare interiors, we approached the project with many of the principles we use in hospitality design: comfortable lounge-style seating, tactile materials, layered lighting, artwork, natural greenery and carefully considered decorative details.

Warm oak and soft neutral finishes form the foundation of the scheme, while FAME's distinctive blue introduces a confident identity throughout the practice. Brass accents, textured surfaces and bespoke joinery add another layer of refinement.

The result is a contemporary dental environment that supports the clinical requirements of the practice while delivering something equally important: a memorable patient experience.
