CalMac Troon Port Kiosk - Concept Refresh

CalMac wanted to transform their Troon Port kiosk into a welcoming coffee and food stop for passengers travelling to and from the islands. Working within a low budget, the design focuses on impact through colour, texture and smart detailing.

Inspired by the local landscape, the concept draws its palette from the natural beauty of the Isle of Arran. Subtle hues of blue and green, softened with beige and cream, echo the island’s coastline, forests and heather-covered hills, evoking a calm sense of land, sea and sky.

Created for passengers in constant motion - arriving, departing or pausing between journeys, the kiosk reflects the quiet rhythm of travel. Materials and forms were chosen to suggest both flow and stillness: soft curves, timber textures and stone-inspired finishes bring grounded warmth, while layered surfaces hint at the gentle transition between two shores.

See our journey from start to finish - turning an empty space into a fully designed interior.

From lighting to bespoke furniture and décor, every piece is thoughtfully procured to bring the design together.
